Guiding Veterans to Success: A Manufacturing Partnership
Check out this video highlighting the inspiring journey of Eagle Metalcraft, a thriving local manufacturing company that was given the opportunity to work with the IVMF Community Navigator Pilot Program and Syracuse University Office of Veteran and Military Affairs. IVMF provided access to resources, programs, training, and one-on-one services designed to help veteran entrepreneurs like Michael Bower navigate their journeys to small business success.
As an IVMF partner, Bowers & Advisors played an integral role in helping Michael, a US Marine Corps Veteran, acquire Eagle Metalcraft in February of 2022. This video showcases the strength of these partnerships.
"The services we provide, a lot of it is direct support," said Carl Austin, co-managing partner at Bowers & Advisors. As an IVMF CNPP partner, Carl worked closely with Michael through his acquisition journey. "We helped [Eagle Metalcraft] with the acquisition, we helped them obtain the financing for the transaction, we helped them with accounting. We did his entity selection, we do all his tax work. So, he really goes across the board with our firm. Most of our other IVMF work is primarily hybrid/remote and that is assisting them with their accounting. And then that's through our small business service group."
"I will say that our relationship with IVMF, and mine personally with Eagle Metalcraft, it has been one of the most satisfying of my career to be able to help a Veteran," Carl said.
