Business Valuation
Few things are more important to business owners than the value of their business. Objective valuation can make the difference between loss or gain, success or failure. While business valuation is not an exact science, it is based on judgment, experience and relevant information. You need professionals who are well qualified, with significant experience in evaluating all types of organizations.
Providing Superior, Defendable Valuations
Determining the value of a business is the foundation of B&C Valuation Group’s knowledge and expertise. Comprised of three Certified Valuation Analysts, we have valued hundreds of companies across a wide range of industry and service sectors. Our experience gives us a depth of knowledge of key value indicators and an understanding of market realities. We have experience in a wide range of consulting disciplines including:
- Bankruptcy: When a business files for bankruptcy, the process involves providing a lot of financial information and, in most cases, a valuation.
- Business Disputes: When a partnership comes to an end, a business valuation allows the partners to identify the value and split it accordingly.
- Buyout: In a buyout situation, a business valuation assists with shareholder retirements, shareholder disputes, etc.
- Divorce: In a divorce situation, a business valuation helps with: marital asset split-ups; spousal buyout; and support/alimony issues.
- Estate Planning: This includes a business transfer to children, transfer to key employees and reducing estate exposure both at the Federal and State levels.
- Financing: A business valuation is needed for loan originations, SBA loans and shareholder financed buyouts.
- Gifting: Knowing the value of a business makes it easier to transfer to children and/or key employees.
